It is about three years since I was introduced to Murray Hire centre and since have hired from a sophisticated machine such as a cherry picker to a core drill. The moment you walk into the shop you are greeted with a smile and a professional crew who know what they are talking about. The training for using their tools is as thorough as you want it to be. While your request is being dealt with you are offered a cup of coffee and the Murray mints are also a nice touch. “Your problem is their problem” attitude has meant that I have travelled further to go back to them since I have moved away from the area. I trust them for a great service and tools that have been properly serviced and looked after .

Popped in to Murray Hire today with a chainsaw issue and these guys were more than helpful. A guy named Keith replaced the chainsaw chain for us showing us how to do it and offering advice at no extra charge. Fantastic service and will definitely be using these guys again 👍

Great family environment, very welcoming and helpful. All staffs were very hands on and helped me with my hire and whatever I needed at short notice and they were also helpful in pointing me to some companies who did jobs, or hire they don’t do. I really recommend Murray Hire. All staffs were helpful throughout the days of my hire. I highly recommend them. Collection and delivery was also great and I felt welcomed, as I was a bit worried in going in before, but I was quickly reassured and this lasted throughout the hire from Friday to Tuesday. Have hired a Stihl pressure washer from murray hire yate, from the offset the service was nothing short of Fantastic, they are incredibly helpful and very reasonably priced. Any problems I did encounter they sorted out straight away, I cannot reccomend them enough. Thanks to ian keith and mandy especially.

10/10 couldn’t ask for a more friendly bunch of guys, always incredibly helpful and supportive. I’m a DIY novice and have rented a few bits of kit of these guys in that past, they’ve always taken the time to make sure I’m comfortable with the kit. Most recently I popped in for a repair on my #stihl kombi, they were fantastic, fixed my issue quickly and without charge (despite the fact I hadn’t bought my unit from them). We are lucky to have establishments like this on our doorstep in Yate! Give them a try

Julian was a huge help getting not one, but then another piece of equipment to site in the same day both within hours of calling! Thank you again & we will be in touch whenever we need any further equipment. Your ‘can do’ attitude & ability to react so quickly was amazing.

First class, 5 star service My Stihl battery Lawnmower would not start, I took it into Murray Hire & they advised that a faulty switch was the problem.

Within a few days, my mower was repaired and returned to me, under warranty, even though I had thought that it had expired.

I’ve been using Murray Hire Centres LTD for years now. As a landscaper in Bristol, we can only foresee what’s above ground and our projects can change anytime. At anytime, I can call them asking for any piece of equipment and it’s usually delivered within 1.5 hours, mostly within an hour. As a tradesman , this is invaluable but anything I need domestic, they are a one stop shop. Here are some reasons I keep coming back, every time: Service is completely customer oriented, nothing is too much trouble – ever. No matter my location, it’s always prompt delivery, Great value for money, 100% reliable, very well maintained and serviced equipment, Expert advice on all equipment over the phone if needed (either recommending the right equipment to hire or technical advice on hired equipment, They have an extensive range of safety gear, forestry tools and general tools which can be delivered with the hire gear. For example, if we have a 12hp rotovator delivered, I can ask to buy 2 landscaping rakes, work boots, a set of spanner’s, gloves and some chainsaw oil and it’s included in the hire delivery. This is so valuable to me who needs to be onsite, All prices are extremely transparent and their catalog offers their full range (phone for one to be sent out to you), They have wonderful working culture, it’s obvious they are all one unit, from maintenance to accountants, It’s a family run business and it shows, very conveniently located covering a huge area, The delivery drivers are knowledgeable with all equipment and offer detailed explanations on how to safely start, run and shut down all gear. The first time I went to the shop, I introduced myself, two months went by and when I returned, they all remembered my name. To offer some context, I used another hire company this summer when all their diggers were already in hire (first time it’s ever happened but it was unexpected and needed one asap) when we came across unexpected garage foundations under the topsoil. I used another hire company and I was shocked at the difference in service. This other company were a well known national company and although it was only sub standard service, it was a huge difference between what I have been experiencing over the years with Murray.

Great service. Needed some equipment urgently and they were able to deliver (locally) within an hour. They are always friendly and helpful, whether in store or on the phone, and will happily the spend time to help a novice self builder get what they need. When they don’t have what you ask for, they will help you get what you need to get the job done. Great prices too. Shame they’re not on the website but give them a ring! Will definitely use again.

Brilliant service.

I have used this company once before and have recommended them to other people. This last weekend I hired a compactor, whacker as known to many. On enquiring about availability and price the phone rang once and I had an immediate response by a kindly spoken person who knew his products. I was quoted a price and I immediately traveled to the beach in Yate to pick up the machine. On arriving I was greeted with both politeness and efficiency. I was offered 3 machines of different weights and went for a 14 inch machine after been shown the different types. Two employees kindly put the heavy equipment into the back of my land rover. The machine had obviously been well serviced as it’s engine roared into life on first pull. Murray Hire Centres are excellent and have such a wide range of machinery. I will certainly hire machinery again from them in the future. Excellt easy parking and a pleasure to deal with them.

Hired a Cherry picker from Murray Hire to complete work on my chimney stack. I have to say, customer service was exceptional from start to finish. I received a call on the morning the picker was due to be delivered regarding a weather warning that day, explaining that they would be be happy to bring it out another day without penalty if I hadn’t finished work because of the conditions.
